We went to the Washington Monument last Saturday. It was rainy but hey we needed an activity.

Gone Fishin'

Grandpa took Jack on his first fishing trip to the local pond. He did great for his first time out. Pictured here is his very first fish! He liked looking at the fish, but was not interested in touching it!

Oh, Hello Mommy....Come in...

It was quiet and I thought Jack was taking his afternoon nap. But some deep instinct inside compelled me to go check on my little angel. As I opened the door, Jack came to greet me. “OH Hello Mommy” he said. And this is what I found; Jack had taken two tubes of Desitin and smeared them all over his body, but mostly in his hair. I couldn’t help but laugh and ran to get the camera. We then had a long talk and a longer bath to repair the damage. It was days before his hair returned to normal!

CB's Come to town

Jack's family from WI came for a summer visit and as you can tell Jack was quite attached to them all. :)

3 2 1...BLAST OFF

Uncle Jeff and Aunt Diane bought the boys this super cool rocket set. They had a blast, pardon the pun. ;)

Happy 4th of July

We had a great 4th of July. The day started out with a neighborhood parade and that night friends had us over for dessert and fireworks. It was the first time Jack saw fireworks so we were worried the noise might be frightening.
But the show started and he absolutely loved it! He shouted “Hooray Fireworks” and clapped every time he saw another explosion of light. He sat in my lap and was just tickled about the whole show. While watching the fireworks he said “Mommy, I love you” What an amazing day. Nothing remarkable or unusual happened, but it was one of those days I’ll remember.

Jack and Grant decided to get cozy and watch TV during a visit to Jason's house. Are they cute or what?

Gaylord Hotel in May

We walked around inside the Gaylord Hotel Resort and saw all different kinds of sand sculptures that were on display.

Inside the Gaylord Hotel there is a fountain that puts on quite a show.

We had a great afternoon together walking around.

Boat Ride

Jack and Mommy took a boat ride from Old Town to the National Harbour. Jack loved it!

We got to watch Jason and Ann Marie's dog while they went on vacation. Jack loved holding the leash when we went for a walk.

Easter

Looking forward to Easter, I told Jack that the Easter Bunny would be coming to leave a basket for him. I asked him what he would like in his Easter Basket, this was his list:

Last weekend we took a walk by the Potomac River, it was absolutely beautiful outside. Jack wasn’t too keen on getting his picture taken, but we got this one. We’re all so happy that spring is here.
