Happy 4th of July

We had a great 4th of July. The day started out with a neighborhood parade and that night friends had us over for dessert and fireworks. It was the first time Jack saw fireworks so we were worried the noise might be frightening.
But the show started and he absolutely loved it! He shouted “Hooray Fireworks” and clapped every time he saw another explosion of light. He sat in my lap and was just tickled about the whole show. While watching the fireworks he said “Mommy, I love you” What an amazing day. Nothing remarkable or unusual happened, but it was one of those days I’ll remember.

The park police came to the neighborhood parade, Jack loved seeing the horses.

Jack and Grant decided to get cozy and watch TV during a visit to Jason's house. Are they cute or what?

Gaylord Hotel in May

We walked around inside the Gaylord Hotel Resort and saw all different kinds of sand sculptures that were on display.

Inside the Gaylord Hotel there is a fountain that puts on quite a show.

We had a great afternoon together walking around.

Boat Ride

Jack and Mommy took a boat ride from Old Town to the National Harbour. Jack loved it!

We got to watch Jason and Ann Marie's dog while they went on vacation. Jack loved holding the leash when we went for a walk.

Easter

Looking forward to Easter, I told Jack that the Easter Bunny would be coming to leave a basket for him. I asked him what he would like in his Easter Basket, this was his list:

Last weekend we took a walk by the Potomac River, it was absolutely beautiful outside. Jack wasn’t too keen on getting his picture taken, but we got this one. We’re all so happy that spring is here.

Jack's Sugery

Jack had surgery last Friday to repair an inguinal hernia. We’re happy to say everything went really smoothly! Jack's home and recovering
nicely. Photo here is Jack in recovery; he was happy watching the
Disney Channel and eating a popsicle. The folks at Fairfax Hospital
did a great job of keeping him happy and comfortable.
