First Haircut

Jack had his first haircut on Sunday (2/11/07). He was a little scared at first, who wouldn't be with those scissors coming at your head. But then he settled in and seemed just fine. And of course we think he looks even cuter now.

I have a new friend

and his name is Hoover. After going absolutely nuts for cousin Grant's toy vacuum, we got Jack one of his own on Friday. And ever since he's been obsessed with this toy. He drags it around with him everywhere, he tried to pull it up with him when he was sitting in my lap drinking milk. Some kids have their teddy bears, Jack has his Hoover vacuum.

Jack and Isabella

We visited our good friends Steve and Christine over the weekend. Jack and Isabella played great together, you can see the begining of a wonderful friendship.

The Continental

Here he is in his little man PJs, a gift from our good friends Alan and Kim. We think he looks super cute in these.

Jack loves to rearrange the stuff in the fridge. Now if I could only teach him how to use the sponge and 409!

Jack and the Dust Buster

We discovered a funny thing lately. Jack doesn't like the Dust Buster. I keep it in the kitchen to do quick clean ups of his high chair area. He's never cried or whined when it was near him or on but we realized that he wouldn't got near it or touch it. If it blocks his way he avoids it, so unlike him! Although just last week we witnessed him crawl up to it and touch it quickly, but he hasn't since. I'm starting to wonder if I should forget the baby gates etc and just buy a couple extra dust busters!

Baby Steps

We've got exciting news about baby Jack...he took his first steps on Sat Jan 13. We were hanging out in the TV room with uncle Matt and while going after his ginger ale can Jack took his first 3 steps all by himself!
As soon as we figured out what he did we passed the can around to each other trying to recreate the magic moment. He did it for us once more and then starting getting a little ticked. Poor guy didn’t know what was going on! He hasn’t done it since, but we’re all waiting, soda in hand, for him to walk again.
Yeah for Jack!! We're so proud of you.

Christmas Day

Here we all are enjoying a lovely moment...Grant and Jack playing quietly together. I won't post the photos of Jack pulling Grant's hair or Grant trying to bite Jack. ;) Boys will be boys. Seriously though, we do see that they're already BFFs.
